Athletes will receive a customized training program including strength, speed, explosiveness, etc., along with baseball specific training programs that will highlight hitting, fielding and throwing drills. These drills will be designed specifically for the athlete’s needs. ESP Baseball classes will have limited attendance to keep the trainer/athlete ratio small. Previous baseball experience is required. Athletes will be separated on the basis of what field dimensions they will be playing on in the coming season. See Schedule HERE See pricing HERE.
Athletes will start off with a 1 on 1 swing assessment by former professional baseball player Kevyn Feiner. This assessment will be reviewed and filmed so that the player will learn what tendencies they have with their swing. After the assessment is reviewed, a customized hitting program will be designed and given to the player so that the player knows exactly what drills will help them maximize their potential at the plate. These drills will then be incorporated into an hour long hitting session with trainers watching swings and offering hitting philosophies. Players will also be learning about situational hitting, 2 strike approach, and the mental side of hitting as well. (See Schedule HERE)
Athletes will start off with a 1 on 1 fielding assessment by former professional baseball player Kevyn Feiner. This assessment will be reviewed and filmed so that the player will learn what tendencies they have when fielding the baseball. After the assessment is reviewed, a customized fielding program will be designed and given to the player so that the player knows exactly what drills will help them maximize their potential in the field. These drills will then be incorporated into an hour long fielding session incorporating drills, groundballs, fielding advice. Players will also be learning about positioning, turning the double play, cut offs, and the mental side of fielding as well. (See Schedule HERE)
ESP will be partnering with Capitol Physical Therapy for this very detailed throwing program. Athletes will have the option to be assessed by physical therapists prior to advancing through this progressive throwing program designed to get athletes ready for the 2019 spring high school season. Upon enrolling for this class, anatomical measurements will be taken in order to rule out any predisposed issues that could inhibit the athletes ability to throw a baseball to his maximum potential. Athletes will follow a progressive 10 week program which will include a daily throwing program, shoulder pre-hab exercises, and shoulder strengthening. Pitchers will follow a different progression than position players. Pitchers will follow programs including flat ground bull pens and slowly incorporating breaking balls. (See Schedule HERE)
